“Aqua Fission transforms water from a data-center risk into a resilient, controllable asset.”

Closing the Water Loop for Data Centers

Data centers increasingly face material risk from water scarcity, cooling demand, regulatory pressure, rising costs, and community opposition. Water is now a strategic constraint on uptime, expansion, and site selection. Aqua Fission directly addresses these challenges by delivering secure, on-site, closed-loop water infrastructure.

Closed-loop water recovery
Aqua Fission converts impaired water sources — including cooling tower blowdown, wastewater, industrial effluent, and other non-potable inputs — into reusable process and cooling water. This dramatically reduces dependence on freshwater withdrawals and municipal supply.

True Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)
Unlike reverse osmosis systems, Aqua Fission produces no toxic brine and no wastewater outfall. Eliminating liquid discharge simplifies permitting, removes long-term disposal liabilities, and de-risks projects from tightening environmental regulations.

On-site water security and resilience
Aqua Fission provides continuous, independent water production directly at the data center. This protects operations from drought restrictions, municipal shortages, infrastructure failures, and competing local demand — ensuring cooling continuity even under stressed conditions.

Meaningful cost reduction and OPEX stability
By eliminating discharge fees, reducing makeup water purchases, and avoiding costly brine management, Aqua Fission lowers total water cost. Its ultra-low energy use and closed-loop operation help stabilize long-term operating expenses as water prices and regulatory costs rise.

ESG leadership and community alignment
Aqua Fission enables responsible water stewardship by reducing freshwater extraction and eliminating wastewater discharge. This minimizes competition with surrounding communities, strengthens ESG and sustainability reporting, and supports faster regulatory and community approvals.

Scalable, modular, and future-proof design
Aqua Fission’s modular architecture supports phased deployment, built-in redundancy, and seamless integration with existing or next-generation cooling systems, including direct-to-chip and immersion cooling. Capacity can scale with compute growth without major civil works.

Result
Aqua Fission transforms water from a data-center risk into a resilient, controllable asset — protecting uptime, enabling growth, and aligning performance with environmental and community expectations.
