Sector Solutions

SGS-certified Aqua Fission technology is highly versatile, with applications across multiple sectors from seawater desalination, brine treatment / reverse osmosis waste post-processing, agriculture, oil and hydrocarbon cleanup to the treatment of irradiated water, chemical wastewater, oil contamination, and ballast water. Aqua Fission removes tritium (radioactivity), forever chemicals, microplastics, heavy metals and other hazardous substances and groundwater contaminants such as arsenic, lead, mercury, and more.

Below are a few sector examples:

Water Desalination

Aqua Fission’s revolutionary Zero-Liquid Discharge (ZLD) seawater and toxic brine desalination technology uses no membranes, chemicals, or other consumables and produces no waste, toxic brine, or ROCs at a fraction of the energy and cost.

Oil Contamination

Aqua Fission’s Oil & Ballast Technology effectively purifies various types of water pollution, specifically oil and oil products, including ballast water, water generated during hydraulic fracturing for shale gas extraction, as well as acidic tar and other waste.

Radioactive Water

Aqua Fission’s radiation decontamination technology purifies radioactive water from deuterium, radium, tritium, and other radioactive isotopes at a significantly lower cost, recycling it for use as generator water for nuclear power plants or to produce clean, potable water.

Toxic Brine / ROC Treatment

Traditional reverse osmosis (RO) generates 40-50% toxic salt brine, harming ecosystems. Adding Aqua Fission to existing reverse osmosis facilities doubles capacity and eliminates harmful brine waste release into the ocean.

Agriculture

Aqua Fission transforms impaired, contaminated, and high-strength agricultural and agri-industrial water into a reliable, reusable resource — protecting groundwater, preserving soil health, and enabling resilient food production in an increasingly water-constrained world.

Lithium Extraction

Aqua Fission’s patented desalination method for extracting lithium from salt lake water concentrates salts, including lithium compounds, which are then collected as solid precipitates, using extremely low energy.

Data Centers

Data centers increasingly face material risk from water scarcity, cooling demand, regulatory pressure, rising costs, and community opposition. Aqua Fission directly addresses these challenges by delivering secure, on-site, closed-loop water infrastructure.

Biogas and Ethanol Plants

Biogas and ethanol facilities generate large volumes of high-strength process water that are costly and difficult to manage. Aqua Fission provides a closed-loop solution that allows bioenergy plants to treat, recover, and reuse water while converting residuals into valuable byproducts.

Municipalities

Municipalities worldwide are under growing pressure to secure reliable water supplies while meeting increasingly stringent environmental, social, and governance (ESG) requirements and international climate commitments, including COP30 & Sustainable Development Goals.
