Hotels and Resorts

“Aqua Fission is turning water production from an operational risk into a strategic advantage.”

Hotels, Resorts, Golf Courses,
and the HORECA Industry

Hotels, resorts, and golf destinations depend on clean, reliable water to deliver guest comfort, food safety, wellness services, activities from swimming pools and water parks to golf, and uninterrupted operations. Hospitality properties are increasingly exposed to water scarcity, rising utility costs, environmental regulations, and reputational risk tied to water use and wastewater discharge. In many destinations, water availability and environmental stewardship are inseparable from the guest experience itself.

Fission was designed to help the HORECA sector and associated golf operations secure clean water on site while avoiding the environmental and operational harms associated with legacy water treatment infrastructure.

The hidden cost of legacy water treatment

Many traditional water treatment and desalination plants rely on energy-intensive processes that were not designed with hospitality and leisure environments in mind. These systems often consume large amounts of electricity, contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, and require continuous chemical dosing. In coastal and resort destinations, they frequently discharge toxic brine and chemical concentrates into nearby waters.

For resorts and golf courses, these impacts are not abstract. High energy demand drives operating costs and exposes properties to fuel price volatility. Fumes, noise, and industrial equipment conflict with guest expectations. Most critically, brine discharge and chemical waste can damage marine ecosystems, coral reefs, fisheries, and coastal water quality, directly undermining the natural environments that attract guests and support destination golf tourism.

Producing clean water without harming the destination

Aqua Fission uses deep-vacuum, low-temperature thermodynamic distillation to separate water from contaminants by phase change rather than forcing it through membranes or chemical treatment stages. Because the system operates at low temperatures and pressures, its energy demand is significantly lower than conventional thermal desalination, and it does not require large chemical inputs.

There is no continuous discharge of toxic brine into the ocean or surrounding waterways. Aqua Fission operates as a zero-liquid-discharge platform, capturing contaminants in a controlled residual output rather than releasing them into the environment. This protects fragile marine and freshwater ecosystems while supporting long-term water availability for resorts and golf facilities.

Securing water from challenging local sources

Many hospitality and golf properties are located in areas where water sources are limited, degraded, or seasonal. Aqua Fission allows hotels, resorts, and golf courses to produce clean water on site from sources that are otherwise unsuitable for use, including brackish groundwater, mineralized wells, seawater, and reclaimed or contaminated water streams.

This enables irrigation, landscape maintenance, and guest services without competing directly with municipal drinking water supplies, reducing community conflict and regulatory exposure.

Improving guest experience and course quality through water consistency

Water quality affects nearly every aspect of hospitality and leisure operations. In hotels and resorts, it influences drinking water, food preparation, showers, pools, spas, and laundry. Golf courses in particular require substantial volumes of water to maintain fairways, greens, and landscaping, often in regions already under water stress. At the same time, On golf courses, mineral-heavy or chemically treated water accelerates scaling in irrigation systems, damages turf health, and increases maintenance costs.

Aqua Fission produces soft, low-TDS water with consistent quality. This supports better tasting water, improved performance of kitchens and beverage service, reduced scaling in plumbing, boilers, and HVAC systems, healthier turf conditions, and longer life for irrigation and facility infrastructure.

Reducing environmental footprint and ESG risk

As sustainability becomes a core expectation for travelers, golfers, investors, and regulators, hospitality and golf operators are under increasing pressure to demonstrate responsible water and energy use. Aqua Fission helps reduce environmental footprint by lowering energy consumption, eliminating chemical brine discharge, reducing plastic waste from bottled water, and minimizing wastewater disposal.

This supports stronger ESG performance, improved regulatory compliance, and credibility with guests and communities who increasingly evaluate destinations based on environmental stewardship.

Designed for hospitality and leisure environments

Aqua Fission systems are modular, quiet, and deployable as skid-mounted or containerized units, making them suitable for resorts, hotels, golf courses, and mixed-use developments. Capacity can scale incrementally as properties expand or seasonal demand fluctuates. Systems can operate with grid power, generators, or renewable energy, making them well suited for island resorts, remote destinations, and large landscaped properties.

Water as an asset, not a liability

For hotels, resorts, and golf destinations, water is both a necessity and a visible symbol of sustainability. Aqua Fission allows operators to secure clean water for guests and landscapes without damaging the surrounding environment, turning water production from an operational risk into a strategic advantage and a positive part of the destination’s story.
