Aqua Fission technology is highly versatile, with applications across more than a dozen sectors from seawater desalination, brine purification / reverse osmosis post-processing, oil and hydrocarbon cleanup to the treatment of irradiated water, chemical wastewater, pyrolysis liquids, and ballast water. Aqua Fission removes tritium (radioactivity), forever chemicals, microplastics, heavy metals and other hazardous substances and groundwater contaminants such as arsenic, lead, mercury, and more.

Water Desalination

Aqua Fission’s seawater and brine water desalination technology is environmentally friendly, uses no membranes, consumables, or chemicals, and produces no waste, brine, or ROCs, consuming 10 – 20 times less energy than reverse osmosis at a fraction of the cost.

Oil Spills / Pyrolysis Liquids

Aqua Fission’s Oil & Ballast Technology effectively purifies various types of water pollution, specifically oil and oil products, including ballast water, water generated during hydraulic fracturing for shale gas extraction, as well as acidic tar and other waste.

Radioactive Water

Aqua Fission’s radiation decontamination technology purifies radioactive water from deuterium, radium, tritium, and other radioactive isotopes at a significantly lower cost, recycling it for use as generator water for nuclear power plants or to produce clean, potable water.

Wastewater Recovery

Aqua Fission cleans both industrial and chemical wastewater, removing heavy metals from water, including arsenic, silver, uranium, radium, lead, and salts found in artesian water. Aqua Fission also treats mine, river, and lake water, landfill leachate, oil spills, and other contaminants.

Brine / ROC Treatment

Traditional reverse osmosis (RO) generates 40-50% wastewater (brine) with 8% salt concentration, harming marine ecosystems. Adding Aqua Fission to reverse osmosis facilities enables a doubled volume of potable water and eliminates harmful brine waste release into the ocean.

Lithium Extraction

Aqua Fission’s patented desalination method for extracting lithium from salt lake water concentrates salts, including lithium compounds, which are then collected as solid precipitates, using extremely low energy, consuming just 1-2 kWh / ton (net).
